Men Are Just Happier People

NICKNAMES

If Laura, Kate and Sarah go out for lunch, they will call each other Laura,
Kate and Sarah.
If Mike, Dave and John go out, they will affectionately refer to each other
as Fat Boy, Godzilla and Four-eyes.

EATING OUT

When the bill arrives, Mike, Dave and John will each throw in £ 20, even
though it's only for £ 32.50. None of them will have anything smaller and
none will actually admit they want change back.
When the girls get their bill, out come the pocket calculators.

MONEY

A man will pay £ 2 for a £ 1 item he needs.
A woman will pay £ 1 for a £ 2 item that she doesn't need but it's on
sale.

BATHROOMS

A man has six items in his bathroom: toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving
cream
, razor, a bar of soap, and a towel .
The average number of items in the typical woman's bathroom is 337. A man
would not be able to identify more than 20 of these items.

ARGUMENTS

A woman has the last word in any argument.
Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument.

DRESSING UP

A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, empty the trash,
answer the phone, read a book, and get the mail.
A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.

FUTURE

A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband.
A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.

MARRIAGE

A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't.
A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change, but she does.

SUCCESS

A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.
A successful woman is one who can find such a man.

Do you think most of these (if not all) are true? I just got this message from my Yahoo! inbox...=)

HAPPINESS

In life there is only one duty,
And that is the duty of happiness
This is the reason for our being here
But all our duties,
Moral codes,
And regulations,
Do not make us happy
And we seldom make each other happy.
If man is to be good
He can only be so
When he is happy,
When he carries harmony within,
In other words, when he loves.
This is the Teaching
The only Teaching in the world;
Taught by Jesus Christ
The one taught by Buddha
And Taught by Hegel, too.
For each one of us, the most important thing in the world
Is his inmost being,
His soul,
His ability to love.
If this is in good order,
You can eat cake or crusts,
Wear jewels or rags,
And the world will ring in purity with the soul,
Will be good,
Will be in good order.

or accept the responsibility for changing them.”

But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield.
As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft, and yielding will overcome

Lucid Dream

A lucid dream is a dream in which the person is aware that he or she is dreaming while the dream is in progress, also known as a conscious dream. When the dreamer is lucid, he or she can actively participate in the dream environment without any of the inhibitions or limitations that otherwise would feel natural to persons who incorrectly believe they are in the "real" waking world. Lucid dreams can be extremely real and vivid depending on a person's level of self-awareness during the lucid dream.

A lucid dream can begin in one of two ways. A dream-initiated lucid dream (DILD) starts as a normal dream, and the dreamer eventually concludes that he or she is dreaming, while a wake-initiated lucid dream (WILD) occurs when the dreamer goes from a normal waking state directly into a dream state with no apparent lapse in consciousness.

Lucid dreaming has been researched scientifically, and its existence is well established.Scientists such as Allan Hobson, with his neurophysiological approach to dream research, have helped to push the understanding of lucid dreaming into a less speculative realm.

A Song for Mama
by: Boyz II Men

You taught me everything and everything you've given me
I'll always keep it inside
You're the driving force in my life
There isn't anything or anyone that I could be
And it just wouldn't feel right if I didn't have you by my side

You were there for me to love and care for me When skies were gray

Whenever I was down you were always there to comfort me
And no one else can be what you have been to me
You will always be the girl in my life for all times

Mama, you know I love you
Mama, you're the queen of my heart
Your love is like tears from the stars
Mama, I just want you to know
Lovin' you is like food to my soul

You're always there for me,
have always been around for me even when I was bad
You showed me right from my wrong, yes you did
And you took up for me when everyone was downing me
You always did understand
You gave me strength to go on

There were so many times looking back when I was so afraid
Then you'd come to me and say to me
I could face anything
And no one else can do for me what you've done for me
You will always be the girl in my life

Never gonna go a day without you
Fills me up just thinkin' about you
I'll never go a day without my mama

Desiderata

by: Max Ehrmann

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly, and listen to others,
even to the dull and ignorant;
they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons;
they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be
greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career
however humble;
it is a real possession in the
changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you
to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love,
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit
to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore, be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham,
drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.
